Car history: |
This '68 Vette features an original body with new paint in the original color of International Blue and complete with the matching factory hardtop & new white soft top. The engine has just been rebuilt, and a new clutch installed. This original body displays well throughout as does the chromework. The Internation Blue finish is correct to this car. The hood opens and closes correctly with the interior latch. The doors fit correctly and the rear decklid operates as it should. This Corvette maintains functional vacuum accessories as well, (headlights & wiper door assembly). This combination is good for approximately 350 horsepower. The ignition has been upgraded to an HEI distributor, we have the original distributor & ignition chrome too. The inner fenders and core support are solid. The fender lip is intact throughout as well. The fuel pump, alternator, and and starter are new/rebuilt. Under the hood, you'll find the freshly rebuilt 350 cubic inch Corvette engine. This is a 1970 4-bolt casting with 1966 double-hump 327 heads. New gaskets, bored .030 over balanced and blueprinted assembly with performance street cam. A new starter and fuel pump have been installed as well. The Muncie 4-speed transmission was removed and a new clutch, pressure plate, and throw-out bearing were installed. The interior features the original black seating along with a factory woodgrain steering wheel & working AM/FM radio. The wiper door assembly and headlights are in working order. The wiper door trim has been machine polished to show condition. The nose features a new lower chin spoiler. The original grilles and lenses are in place. The headlight doors fit straight and true as well. The bumper chrome displays a nice luster throughout. The back features all correct letting, exhaust bezels, exhaust tips, license plate bezel and tail lights. The hardtop was repainted along with the car in the original International Blue. The interior panel piece is intact and very nice as well.
